Implantology

The dental implant

A dental implant is used to replace a tooth root.  Made of a biocompatible material (titanium), it poses no health risk.  Once integrated into the alveolar bone, it can support a crown or a bridge (fixed) or a dental prosthesis (removable).

On site, our dentists will perform a detailed examination, digital impressions of you teeth as well as a 3D X-ray (CBCT) to check if the dental implant is indicated for you.  Once the treatment plan has been validated, a precise surgical guide will be fabricated to minimize the risk of error when placing the implant.

A minor surgery

The placement of implants is generally a minor surgery.  The majority of patients who have undergone this treatment describe the postoperative period as similar to that of dental extractions.

If you think dental implants can improve your quality of life, talk to your dentist about it. He will be able to advis you.
